Obviously there is some sort of corporate Tinder that facilitates drunken bad-idea hookups.
We can only assume this is to gain access to the famous quality control of Fiat and Chrysler. In other news, PSA is also looking to buy a majority interest in Forever 21, Sears, and all outstanding Enron shares for a combined price of $312.
Maybe we’ll get a Hemi Vauxhall out of it. Or a rebadged Miata with a Fiat engine re-rebadged as an Opel. The next Cherokee might be controversial though:
What does Oppo think? Should Peugeot have swiped right?

PSA should save RAM and the actual SUVs of Jeep. Alfa and Fiat need big investments. The rest of mainstream FCA can be retired.

FCA need PSA to get the economy of scale required for electrification and autonomy (amongst other things) while PSA need FCA to facilitate the return of Peugeot and Citroen to North America in 2022.
However, the real benefits for both organisations really lie in Europe and the efficiencies gained in the tie. Curiously, while head offices will be maintained in France and Italy, the primary company that holds everything together will be based in the Netherlands.
